Who We Are
Blue Ridge Laboratories is a full-service, high-complexity CLIA and COLA-accredited laboratory located in Asheville, NC.
Our sole focus has been providing dependable, affordable, and comprehensive genetic testing for our patients and providers to assess an individual’s genetic predisposition to disease.
Through our novel PCR technology, we have also been able to fill a niche by providing rapid microbiology testing to the community and long-term care facilities.
Our Story
Blue Ridge Laboratory (BRL) is a local, minority-owned medical laboratory. Through working in the medical community, the two founders of Blue Ridge Laboratories recognized access to rapid PCR testing for inheritable diseases, pharmacogenetics, and infectious diseases was limited in the Southeast and Mid-West. Our team knew this was our calling: Bring PCR-based laboratory technology locally to provide a concierge-like service to our medical community.
As a smaller and local business, we pride ourselves on supporting our clients with hands-on education, sampling, result reporting, and billing. We believe all members of the community deserve innovative medical care; however, we have found our long-term care facilities often lack the resources to provide many of our offered services to their residents. It has been an honor to partner with these patients and their facilities to provide expert, timely care. The core value of Blue Ridge Laboratories is providing affordable care to all patients, irrespective of their medical resources.
